I've been drawing dragons since I was...11? 12? A *very* long time. My body has been making life difficult lately (silly autoimmune disease) so I found myself heading back to my comfort zone. And having Big Fun! (It is *just* possible that Dragon is my alter-ego.) I'll get back to landscapes eventually.  

First painting posted involves books and tea, but there are several more in the works. I found a local place that does a great job scanning and printing my work, so I'm offering giclees of these. I am find myself "touching them up" with watercolors, but that's just my perfectionism coming into play.  (I'm not ready to list the original, but if you simply *must* have it, message me. We'll talk.) I've got two more Dragon paintings almost completed...and then there may be *other* creatures/spirits/Fae putting in their appearances.  Sometimes "girls just gotta have fun".

I've been painting clouds lately. As a child, one of my favorite games was lying on my back looking for creatures in the sky; dragons, ogres, winged horses, and yes, bunnies and ducklings. I'd make up stories about them.   Our current home backs up to ten acres of woods. There is a creek in our backyard. The trees are lush, the woods full of wildlife. Barred owls, a blue heron, foxes, deer, coyotes, songbirds of every description; it's the Wild Kingdom out here. The only thing lacking is open sky. I cannot visit with the clouds from my yard.

Our annual beach trip, where I can visit with the clouds, has been postponed. Little wonder, then, that I am going through my photographs and finding skies and sand to paint. I just finished "July Cloud".  What do *you* see?
